CAPITAL CAMPAIGN 2005

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR

Dear Members of the All Saints Family,

As a parish, we find ourselves living in an exciting and challenging time as we begin our Capital Campaign to the theme of “Building for Today’s Needs and Tomorrow’s Dreams.” A theme that reflects on the significance of our parish as we serve God, our fellow parishioners, and others; as well as the significance of our parish for our families and friends in the future. For while we know our needs for our parish and ourselves today, we must also look ahead and consider the future needs of others.

Today we are in need of a new worship space at one location, to physically unite us together as one parish. By celebrating our Catholic Mass and the Sacraments in the same church day after day, week after week, year after year, we will physically be united. Hopefully this will allow us to grow stronger in our spiritual unity so that we can become more effective in spreading the Good News of Our Lord Jesus Christ to our fellow parishioners and others.

Today, we are also in need to centrally locate our administrative offices near our worship space in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our parish staff and to establish a daily presence at our new parish location.

Our dreams for tomorrow include a spacious and well-equipped Social Hall (Phase II) and a Day School with Gymnasium (Phase III). These dreams will complete the future plans for our parish complex.

This brochure gives you an overview of our parish project and the specifics about the cost involved in Phase I. I would ask that you take the time to carefully review this information and to seriously consider how you can actively participate. This vision will only become a reality through the generous, sacrificial support of our entire parish family. It goes without saying that we need your personal financial commitment, as well as your continued commitment of time and talent.

Before making your decision, I would ask you to prayerfully consider what your sacrificial share could be, and according to your means and faith, give what you can. Both you and future generations will reap the spiritual benefits of your sacrifice. Certainly it is a challenge, but I know that we can meet it together. So please be generous.

I will personally make a sacrificial pledge to our Capital Campaign because I believe in you and our entire parish family today and in the future. My pledge will also be an expression of my gratitude to God for the countless blessings I have received in my life.

May God continue to bless us as we work and sacrifice together in “Building for Today’s Needs and Tomorrow’s Dreams.” May we always trust in the promise from God’s Word – “With God All Things Are Possible.”

Sincerely yours in Christ,
Reverend Jerome J. Maksvytis
Pastor of All Saints

GOALS
Our goal is to raise $5.4 Million for Phase I of our building project over a three-year period. The Diocese of Madison requires 50% in liquid assets before we can begin construction. This goal represents a challenge for all of us and will only be reached with the cooperation and generosity of our entire parish community.

FINANCIAL COMMITMENT
Each of our parishioners will be asked to enter into a “Three-Year Faith Promise Pledge.” The “Faith Promise Pledge” is in addition to the amount you regularly commit to All Saints Parish. You are asked to prayerfully consider the amount your family can afford to contribute.

Each parishioner could be asked to give the same amount but reality tells us that it may not be possible for all families to contribute at the same level. Each of us must consider what sacrifice we can make. Some of us will be able to give more than others, but each of us should consider a pledge that is in accordance with our own abilities. As with any campaign of this size and scope, it is critical that those with the ability to give leadership gifts be asked to step forward early in the campaign and show their commitment to this project. Although the monetary amount of our sacrifice may not equal the monetary amount of another parishioner’s sacrifice, we must remember everyone’s gift is important.

The Diocese of Madison requires 50% in liquid assets. Therefore, please consider a down payment of your “Faith Promise Pledge” or a one-time payment.

Our parish is relying on everyone to plan a personal three-year goal of generosity. With the spirit of equal sacrifice – not equal gifts – we can all contribute and reach our campaign goal. We must rely on the spiritual values of sacrifice and faith.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

How will we make our contributions to the Capital Campaign?
We will be asked to make a “Faith Promise Pledge.” A “Faith Promise Pledge” is a gift commitment that represents a sacrifice to support God’s work. The “Faith Promise Pledge” is in addition to the amount you now regularly commit to All Saints Parish. The total amount you pledge may be given over a three-year period or less. You must decide the amount that best fits your family’s ability to contribute. You will receive specially marked envelopes, which you will use to make your contributions.

How much am I/my family expected to give?
This is a personal decision for you to make only after prayerful thought, keeping in mind God’s gifts to you.

When will I make my “Faith Promise Pledge”?
You will be invited to one of several “gatherings” during which you can ask questions and then submit a written pledge. If you do not make a pledge at a “gathering” you will be contacted for a home visit from a Kirby-Smith Representative. Or you may be contacted by a member of All Saints Parish.

What is the purpose of a home visit?
The visits normally are short and very informal. The home visit has several purposes:
1. receive feedback from you regarding our Parish
2. list your interest in various church activities
3. discuss your commitment to the Capital Campaign and record your “Faith Promise Pledge”

Can parishioners give without signing a “Faith Promise Pledge”?
You could, but we would not know how much to expect from you. If a significant number of parishioners choose this approach, it will be very difficult to know how much income we can anticipate for the building project. Also, we must be able to show the Bishop and the Diocese of Madison that we have liquid assets and pledges to support this project.

May I change my “Faith Promise Pledge” later in the campaign?
Yes, of course. The future of any of us is uncertain. Some may find ourselves in better circumstances and able to give more while others may face unforeseen situations that may cause us to lower our giving. The purpose of the “Faith Promise Pledge” is to give All Saints Parish an idea of how much we can expect to raise from our parishioners.

When will my contribution begin?
Contributions will start in March, April, or May of 2005

When will construction begin?
If everything goes according to plan, construction will begin September of 2005, but this will depend entirely on the generosity of our parish family.

Can I support our Capital Campaign in other ways?
Yes, especially with your prayers. You might remember our parish in your will or as your life insurance beneficiary.

Ask and it will be given unto you, seek and you shall find; knock and the door will be opened unto you. For everyone who asks, receives; he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8)
